The foundation for success in the history of cooperage DARNAJOU was laid by Vincent´s father Pierre. The son of a winemaker and grandson of a cooper earned his cooperage diploma in 1961.
After being prestigiously awarded 'Meilleur Ouvrier de France' he established his first own barrel production company.

He finally passed on his unique 'savoir-fair' and his passion for manufacturing oak into premium barrels to his son Vincent. He joined in 1993 and together they led the company to the top of cooperages in France.

The quality of Darnajou´s French oak, harvested from the oldest forests in central France is incomparable in terms of the fineness and density of the grain, and the preciously aromatic and chromatic complexity. Aromas of great wines will be extensively enhanced when matured in these barrels.
