The characteristically very hard and fine-grained wood has an intense color and a matt silk gloss. The spicy taste makes it ideal for maturing whiskey, brandy, liqueurs and other distillates.

The fine-grained and medium-heavy wood is characterized by a finely sweet character and is therefore ideally for maturing and finishing distillates of all kinds.

The medium-heavy and medium-grained wood is characterized by a fruity and sweet-sour taste. Distillates of all kinds benefit from the exceptional characteristic during maturation in our cherry tree barrels.
