We obtain our barrels directly from the largest and most important port cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. This is where aging of port begins after vinification at the Douro Valley.
At first each Port stayes between three and six years in large vats before being transferred to smaller so-called 'Pipes', where the aging process begins.
