SWEET WINE BARRELS

Marsala is a sweet wine originating from the Sicilian eponymous harbur city. Since 1969 it has a controlled designation of origin 'DOC'. The growing area covers almost the entire province of Trapani.

The classification has been determined according to aging in oak barrels.

Our barrels come freshly emptied from the local top producers and guarantee the highest quality.

Banyuls is a French-made sweet wine that comes from the Côte Vermeille nearby the town of Banyuls-sur-Mer. It is required to have it only produced in the four designated municipalities of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cerbère, Collioure and Port-Vendres, which are all in the Languedoc region.

We only purchase high-quality barrels from small wineries based in one of those regions.

The production of Sauternes wines is strictly reserved for the five designated municipalities Sauternes, Barsac, Preignac, Bommes and Fargues. It is produced from varieties of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscatel. The wine vintage and the quality determines the aging period in French oak barrels.

Through our excellent contacts throughout the Bordeaux region, we obtain these barrels from carefully selected wineries in order to guarantee the highest quality.

The Moscatel de Setúbal is a remarkable dessert wine originating from DOC Setúbal. It is produced to 85 % from yellow and red muscatel. Muscatel wines are aged in French oak barrels for at least 5 years but usually for a much longer period.

We source our barrels from several top producers in the region where they are optimally prepared under strict quality guidelines.
